November 05 Weekend UpdateHi
We had a lovely time at the fireworks display on Saturday. Patrick loved it and Gavin did too once he got used to the noise. It cost a fortune for the bouncy castle and other rides but it was really worth it.
The decorator is here painting the hallway at last. I cant wait for it to be finished. It will be lovely for Christmas. We went out yesterday and got all of the presants for the two boys. We just set up a shop here then the family come here and get what they want to give the boys. It saves everyone panicing about what to get.
I got a phone call on Friday about looking after a little boy with Cerable Palsy two evenings a week and one night. The mother e-mailed me some photos of him and he is really cute. Hopefully we will agree a routine and rates.
Am going to watch some cooking on the tv now. November 03 Bonfire NightWe are going to a big fireworks display tonight. I hope Gavin is ok with the noise. Patrick has been before. We always go to an organised event because I think that fireworks are far to dangerous to be used in a garden unless its really big, which ours is not. October 31 FriendsWhen I left Ireland with my husband to settle in England four years ago (where he is from and I spent many years here throughout my life) I thought that I would never make as many friends as I had in Ireland. I had a wonderful network of friends that I could call on and go out with. But I have. Since Patrick started Nursery last year I have become very good friends with a group a ladies. We are all on the same wave lenght and have the same sence of humour. Its great to be able to call on them when I need a favour or a chat and likewise I love that they feel as confortable with me.
The husbands will all meet properly on New Years Eve at our party. I think that they will all get on great. I think that we are going to be friends for many years to come.
Thank you to them for being my friend. October 30 UpdateWe had a great shopping trip on Saturday. I bought loads of things now we just have to face the consiquences of spending the money. .........
Patrick got home on Sunday. I was so excited i was at the airport to early and had to wait for ages. Its great to have him back. The house is full of noise and laughter again.
Better go the house in a right mess and needs sorting out. October 26 ChristmasSince Patrick is not here we are taking the oppertunity to prepare for Christmas. Its going to be really busy this year as my sister is getting married on the 21st December in Ireland. So preperation is going to be the key. I have made five Christmas cakes already just another 10 to go. (they are very popular). I will make the pastry for the mince pies in a few weeks and freeze that. We are going Christmas shopping tomorrow and I will wrap that over the next few weeks. I will order the Chistmas tree at the end of November, the biggest one possible and the decorations will go up the second week in December. Well thats the plan any way. Whether that actually happens is another story.
 The plaster is here at the moment finishing of the dining room.
 It will al be finished for Christmas. Oh and we are having a party on New Years Eve (I cant remember it I said that in my last entry).
I have tried to find out what is going on with this Child Care course that I am supposed to start in November. They were supposed to call to confirm my place but the phone has been silent. I should get a call on Monday now or atleast a reply to my e-mail.
I have lost 8 pounds.
 Just another 14 to go and I will be happy. That should be long gone by the wedding. I was abit naughty and ordered a dress to small so that I would have no choice but to loose the weight and its worked. I am motivated and finding reasonably easy. I put weight on easily and loose it easily. Well better go and clean all of the mess that Gavin has just made in the short amount of time that it took me to type this entry. He is full of mischeif.
Oh and I am still missing my other boy Patrick. October 25 I Miss PatrickHe has only been gone a few hours but I miss him already. Its silly really because he has stayed away overnight loads of times but I think that because he wont be back for three nights / four days I am pineing for him premiturly. I met some of the other Moms at the park and gave Gavin a push on the swings for a while. Now even Gavin is in bed. What did I do before children?
Ohwell I had better do some college work and see how long that takes me. Sniff SniffPatrick has gone on his first holiday without me this morning. I dropped him and his Granny to the airport at 6.45 this morning. They are going to Ireland for the weekend. I dont know what I am going to do without him. His my mate. Gavin is not going to know whats hit him he will have so much attention put on him. Oh well might aswell go shopping. October 23 HiWell I have found time to update this again. Life is so hectic at the moment. I am having so many inspections and attending so many courses to get registered with Ofsted that I dont seem to have time to scratch my bum amy more. I am enjoying it though. I got all of my stationary printed and received it the other day. It looks great. I can hardly believe that i am going to have my own business.
I have been getting ready for Christmas to. I have made three Christmas cakes already. They smell and look lovely. I will leave them to mature and ice them just before Christmas. We have also just decided to have a party on New Yeary Eve. All of our friends stay in because of babysitters and money, so this year everyone is coming here. I cant wait it should be good fun.
Have to go now as I am taking the boys to Blaksley Hall for a few hours. There is a Halloween Theme going on.

October 08 I am still hereHere I am. Things have been mad recently which is why I have not been on. Things are going great with the childminding and the garage is nearly finished only little bits left to be done. August 28 HiI have had quite an eventful Bank Holiday weekend. My sister, her boyfriend and their baby Jessica (who is my God Daughter and very cute) arrived from Ireland for a wedding on Saturday. They were supposed to arrive about 10.30am but did not get to my Moms until about 3pm I think. I was lovely to see them. Jessica has got so big and is crawling around like a mad women. She was a bit scared of us all at first but was getting used to us by the time she went home. Lisa (my sister) and Paddy are getting married themselves in December. By then Jessica and Gavin will be crawling. It will murder running around after them all day and night. I might leave my two boys at home. Its unfair to ask my Mom to look after two toddlers and a five year old..The Wedding on Saturday was nice. Brian did not go because he hurt his foot on the morning of the wedding. He was not keen on going anyway as he gets overwhelmed when all of my family are together. He feels a bit out of the loop because we cant afford to spend large or even small amounts of money on enjoying ourselves, which means that he has to watch all of the other men buying rounds. You also get well wishers who really do mean well and notice that you are not drinking and they offer money, which is embarrassing. Anyway it was nice to see lots of family from Ireland that I have not seen in years.On Bank Holiday Monday we went to Bridge North. It was a lovely day. The lady in the restaurant took a shine to Patrick and gave him some bread to feed the ducks.Ofstead has just called to arrange a visit. As usual there is a complication. They need three forms of ID but I have sent the forms off already. Hassle Hassle Hassle.August 19 Sunday LunchWe have just been out and bought a Nintendo DS Lite for Patrick. I cant believe how early they start looking for computer games now. Brian and i have no idea how to use it. We are figuring it out as we go along. To concole ourselves we went for lunch. August 14 HelpI am trying to put a Mood Clock on my site but its not working. Anyone any suggestions. Night OutHi everyone thanks for the messages. We had a great night, lots of good food and a considerable amount of alcohol. The kids were fast asleep in bed when we got home which was great.
I have just had the women from the Child Care Team around to talk about being registered to look after kids. Everything went well. She said that my grant application should be fine.
We planted lots of flowers in the garden at the weekend. It is nearly finished now. At long last i hear you all shout. I will put some photos on soon. August 09 AnniversaryI cant believe that we have been married for TEN YEARS. Time really has flown. We have bought two houses, lived in two appartments, lived in two counry's ( England and Ireland), had two children. Do you think that two is a reoccuring number in our lives or what?
We are going out for drinks and a meal this evening. I cant wait. Mark and Susan are coming with us. They first got together at out wedding so its abit of an anniversary for them to.

August 08 YipeeYes Brian Got The Job. He is over the moon just like me. Thank God we wont have to go through the trama of sueing his current asshole of a boss. Well done Brian.
Also a quick update on the garden for those that are interested. It is starting to look good. Some of the tree's have been planted so there is some colour back out there. Hopefully this weather will hold out and we will get lots done this weekend.
I had a call from the Child Care Team saying that they are reviewing mu business plan and that they want to do a home visit next Monday. Fingers crossed all goes well. I just have to wait for Ofsted then. Red Tape i hate it.

August 07 HolidayJust found out that we have won a holiday for four in a five star hotel for seven nights in a choice of four desinations. We have never won anything before. I am trying not to get to excited as there might be a catch. We have to go to somewhere to show id so that is probably when they will hit us with a catch. Hopefully not though.
Brian has gone for a third interview for a new job today. I really hope that he gets it as the job he is in now is a mess. The boss thinks that because Brian is on a good salery he has the right the bully and abuse him. We have looked into taking him to a tribunal but it is just so risky. It is up to Brian to prove he has been badly treated and that is hard with no proof. We insist that our children stand up for themselves in school and tell them not to let anyone bully them but once they get into school they will have to put up with it. If Brian was being Racially or Sexually discriminated against he would have the full backing of the law but Bullying has not been included in the law. So Bullying is wrong but not illegal. Does anyone else see a problem with that? You would have thought that when David Kelly killed himself a few years back the government would have finally realised the presure that can be put on workers and legislated for it.
I am so angry about this. Sea SideGood Morning everyone.

Patrick and Gavin went to Western Super Mere yesterday with their uncle Terry, Aunty Dawn and cusins Jade and Sapphire. They had a wonderful day and were very sleepy when they got back. Today they were picked up at 7.30am and are now on their way to Blackpool. What lucky boys.
I am going to spend the day doing the garden and catching up on jobs around the house. The Firemen are coming around to do a Fire and Safety check on the house. Hopefully the plumber is coming to fix a leaky sink we have been waiting two weeks now.
My mother has just put in an offer on a new house. Its just around the corner from my house. I hope that we dont start getting on each other nerves. Its amazing how differant houses can be, even if they are on the market at the same price. Some she looked at needed lots of work done to them but this one is lovely and she can move straight in. July 30 Nearly ThereI handed in my business plan and grant reqest this morning. Hopefully there will not be many changes needed, if any. All Ihave to do not is send off my Ofsted forms and I am on my way to being a self employed Registered Childminder. Anyone need a childminder? |
